タンニンなめしのシュリンク革をつま先に使い、履き口周りは鹿革を使用しておりますので、履き心地は柔らかくふんわりしています。

つま先部分を蹴り上げた木型を新に作り、羽根は廃材で使う牛革を使用。履き口が詰まっている見え方がこの靴のかわいいところなので、その特徴を殺さないように足が入って且つ、つまって見えるポイントを探りながら型紙修正を繰り返しました。実際の生地は伸縮性がありますが、革はそういうわけにはいかないので、ちゃんと足が落ちる長さの履き口を確保しなければなりません。ただ履き口を長く確保しすぎるとこの靴のデザインの良い部分をなくしてしまうので、機能とデザインのバランスのとれた型紙を意識しました。
