ストームグラスは19世紀に航海士等が使用していた天候予測器です。
樟脳（クスノキのエキス）やエタノール等をガラス管に密封して作られており、
気候の変化に反応して起きる結晶を観察する事で、役立てられていました。
ジュール・ヴェルヌの小説『海底二万マイル』に出てくる
ノーチラス号の中にも設置されています。
その後の科学の発展に伴い、
実際には結晶化現象については謎が多い事がわかり、いまだ詳細は研究途上です。

現代では予測器としての実用は難しいですが、季節によって景色が変わるように、
日々変化する結晶の様子を『Tempo』でお楽しみください。
